Responding to customer requests for smaller factory training classes that concentrate on a single governor type, we are pleased to offer a Focus Class exclusively on the Woodward Mechanical Cabinet Actuator. Whether you are an experienced governor mechanic or an apprentice technician, this three-day intensive workshop will enhance your knowledge of this governor type. Focus Classes feature more hands-on time and less classroom time, so are ideal for governor technicians who are responsible for tuning, adjusting and troubleshooting governors.
Our trainers have decades of experience building, calibrating, and repairing Woodward governors, hydraulic pressure systems, and auxiliaries. Cutaway examples of a Pilot / Distributing Valve, Permanent Magnet Generator (PMG), XX Herringbone Gear Pump and Screw-type Pump are also available and are used during the training. In addition, our Training and Repair Center features a Woodward Mechanical Cabinet Actuator and PMG operating with a Turbine Simulator. Real-world problems will be introduced into the governor, and attendees will be challenged as a group to find and correct them. These intensive troubleshooting sessions, combined with smaller class size, are what make Focus Classes a very effective training tool for your maintenance crew.
To maximize the transfer of knowledge, registrations are limited to 30.
